It can be so scary when you're out there on your own.
Take my hankie, dry your tears. I know you'll make new friends.
I promise we'll be together when the school day ends.
Here comes the teacher, blow your nose and be brave.
Come on now wipe your eyes, this is no way to behave.
"Well, good morning teacher. We really must beg your pardon.
No, my MOMMY doesn't always act this way,
But it's my first day of KINDERGARTEN!
We made it through the first day of Kindergarten! Dallin did really well. He was shy and nervous but no tears or even hesitation. Mom did great too! It helped to have my neighbor Mary there, who was a practiced pro at this, and also someone I didn't feel comfortable crying in front of. We walked home together complaining about the traffic on our street. So thanks to her we had success! No tears! It was a fun day, and going to be a great year! I'm so excited for my little (I mean big) Dallin!

Way to go Deb! (and Dallin) :) What a big day. He looks so big and all ready for school! How fun.
does he go a half or whole day?
He goes half day, which I think is great. So it turns out, the first day was great, then it got worse everyday! He says he doesn't like school and wants to stay home with Isaac. Getting him out the door is hard but once he gets there I know he has a great time. He tells me all about his day when he gets home, so I know he's fine. Just taking a while to adjust. Hopefully this week will be better.
Half day is great. Chandler's bus comes at 7:30 and he gets home around 3:15. It is a long day and has been an adjustment!! Dallin is so cute and so grown up!
