Go Pistons!!

Nate and I spent New Years Eve at a Detroit Pistons game! We had tons of fun! They play at the Palace of Auburn Hills, which is just down the street from us! One of the perks of living in a big city (or near one).

Final score 83-75. We won!

Better Breathing

This is now part of Isaac's morning and night routine. It is step one in a trial & error process to figure out why his bad cough has hung around for more than a year now. This is basically an inhaler, to treat asthma. Can you tell he's thrilled! So far it hasn't been helping. I'm starting to wonder how many "trials" we're going to have to go through to get this figured out. Poor guy.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent with friends. We had a fabulous dinner, decorated gingerbread houses, and role played the story of Christ's birth. It was a great funfilled evening. Thanks so much Miriam and family!

notice it's the men doing most of the work. My kind of activity!

Tyler's house had some minor complications

He refurbished it into a stable, complete with an angel, shepards, and baby Jesus!

December Joys

After hearing all about gingerbread men from dallin and seeing him come home with projects and stories about gingerbread men from school, Isaac asked over and over if he could make some too. So we finally got to it.

Yum yum! I love December!

The Perfect Day

Last weekend we had a great day! I felt like the Christmas season had officially begun at our house! We started with breakfast with Santa at Dallin's school.

There was a huge long train table set up, that was very cool!

Dallin standing by his gingerbread house that he made at school

Seeing Santa was great for dallin and Isaac, not so much for Landen

When we got home, mom was busy inside baking Christmas cookies

While dad was busy outside shoveling snow.

I wish I could say the boys were building a snowman in the backyard, but it wasn't quite so picture perfect. They were glued to the t.v. They discovered Harry Potter for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it!

The highlight of the day was going to the church for the much anticipated and long awaited production of One Night in Bethlehem. Our ward put a lot of work and time and energy as they do every year to present this special night to the community. There was beautiful music and a tour led by a tour guide who took us first to a room where the shepards told of the night the angel came and told them of the birth of the Savior. Then we were led to the room where the wise men told their story, then an inn keeper, and finally a stable with the baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph. It was such a neat thing to be a part of. Hopefully I can post more pictures of it soon. The best part of that night was Dallin's friend from school and his family came!

They didn't want to be in the picture, but I put them in anyway!

DALLIN

Dallin has been saying some funny things lately.

Somewhere he heard the phrase "run for your life" and has incorporated it into his playing. Apparently though he thought it was "run for your wife" and he decided to change it to husband. Of course Isaac copies everything his brother does and says. So if you come to my house you will find two little boys running and playing and yelling "run for your husband!!"

What will they come up with next?!

Dallin and I were having a conversation about favorites:

Dallin: Mom, do you know what my favorite restaurant is?
Mom: What.
Dallin: Buffalo Wild Wings
Mom: Mmmm I like that one too.
Dallin: ya, they have yummy....hot dogs.

Dallin: My favorite food is carrots!
Moms thoughts: that's my boy!
Dallin: cuz I looooove the ranch!

Happy Thanksgiving

Ok- so I didn't get any pictures of Thanksgiving day -too busy cooking! We enjoyed the day with our friends. Eating, football, games, and more eating.

Black Friday was a joy! I was at Kohls at 4am, got a great deal on luggage and didn't even have to wait in line. The 4am was definitely worth it. The crazy ones are those who go at 9am and wait in a line that wraps around the entire store! That was me last year. Our other exciting deal was a digital camera! Finally! You will be seeing higher quality pictures soon! Or at least I will when I print them out.

Saturday we spent decorating the house with Christmas! Merry Christmas!!

Setting up the tree - Daddy's little helper!

Dallin and Isaac's favorite part - ornaments!
