Happy 4th!

We had a great Fourth of July! The boys were so excited to see fire works. We went to the Rochester Hills fire work show. It was so fun. The park had jumping castles and slides, and roller skates you could use, all for free! Dallin tried roller skates for the first time. Didn't do too well, but hey, he had fun. I was nervous about Landen being up so late, I thought maybe I could get him to sleep walking around in the stroller with him before the fireworks started. But he didn't come close. He enjoyed every minute of it. I was amazed out well he did. He was in awe at the fireworks, just stared with big eyes. He finally fell asleep on the walk back to the car.

Getting ready for the fireworks!

The crowd is our ward. We all met in the same spot for the firework show. They are our family away from family. Thank goodness for the church!

Showing off (trying) their flags and glow sticks

When we were trying to figure out how we were going to carry all our stuff and three boys from the car to the park (about a mile walk) Dallin came up with a solution -

A few days later Nate, Dallin and Isaac camped out in the backyard. It was their first tent experience. They did really well! Nate said they all woke up about 2am and were cold, when Nate asked them if they wanted to go inside they assured him they did NOT! And they quickly went back to sleep!

On Friday, the 4th, we spent the day at the beach, 20 minutes away! It was heaven! The lake was beautiful, the beach was true sand, there were grassy shady areas, and the weather was perfect. We will be going back for sure!

(He's just waking up in this picture, he still falls asleep anytime we're in the car in the afternoon)

Isaac ready to party at the lake!

Landen loved the sand! He only ate it once!

No thanks mom, don't need the hat.

you guys look like you had a ton of fun! I loved Dallin's idea of caring Landen too, that was too cute.

That's funny that Dallin has been playing with imaginary friends. It must be the age. Chandler has one too. His name is "Mr. Pretend Man." Wish our boys could play together!
