Moving

We've moved! Hats off to anyone who has ever moved with 4 young children! It is quite the feat, and one I am glad to have almost over with. It turned out that our basement actually wasn't completely done before we moved in. So everything that should be in the basement is still in the living room and we're still working on organizing and unpacking the last few boxes. Besides the unpacking, we are loving it here. The boys are having so much with their new neighborhood friends. It is the friendliest neighborhood I have ever known! About six families have dropped by to introduce themselves and welcome us to the neighborhood. It has been great.

I also have to give a huge thank you to all who helped us in this overwhelming task. Callie babysat my kids so Nate and I could go paint. Heather came over with her teenagers who watched my kids while she helped me pack - she packed my entire kitchen! Kaylee and Amy made meals for our family while we were in transit. A whole slew of men from church came and helped us load the truck, Babs and Kaylee showed up with them unexpectedly to help me clean. And then another whole slew of men from our new church came and helped us unload into the new house. Men we had never met. The church is amazing, I seriously don't know how I would get along without it. We appreciate all the help so much - thanks everyone!

I don't have too many pictures. There are a few more in the previous post. I could say "I'll post more later" but I'm going to say, you'll have to come visit us to see more :)

With their toys in boxes, the new washing machine provided some much needed entertainment!

I took these last two pictures for myself in case I ever get the feeling that I want to move again!

Working on our New Home!

It's true! We are finally homeowners! We bought a cute 4 bedroom cape cod home in Novi Michigan. We LOVE the location. We are 5 minutes from Nate's work, in a great neighborhood, with top notch schools. We are very excited.

The basement is completely unfinished. I am a mom who really doesn't want to learn how to survive with 4 boys and no basement, so we are finishing it. We hired contractors who are now in the process. We did some painting too, and hope to be able to do some updating to the kitchen eventually. We will move in on July 10th. When everything is done - hopefully!

This is Jared's room (before) minus the hideous curtains we removed.

Jared's room (After)

Nate, painting our bedroom. It was a pale pink, and is now a khaki tan.

The basement is coming along. This will be the family room and a game room/exercise equip. to the left of it.

My soon to be laundry room, and storage room behind it.

We also painted the bathroom which was a bright mauve, and is now a restful light green.

Fun Fourth

Happy Independence Day!

Lighting fireworks

Landen throwing a snapper at me

Before we know it, he'll be joining the rest of them. But for now, here's the usual picture of Jared on the sidelines.

Our 3rd annual Auburn Hills Summer Fest which the boys look forward to all year.

Jared and Landen enjoying watching from a safe distance. Landen kept stealing Jared's hat.

Isaac trying some rock climbing.
They both got a little more than half way up.

Landen blowing bubbles while waiting for the fireworks.

Random Photos

Isaac asleep on the couch again. This time with a starburst in his mouth and a "sword" in his hand.

I went looking for the kiddos when things were quiet.
Found them in the shower. Landen and Jared are becoming quite cute together.

At the park. Jared LOVING the swings!

Landen too.

Last Day of School

Another year down, I can hardly believe it. Dallin and Isaac have learned so much this year. We are sure grateful for their teachers and the great friends we made at Auburn Elementary. We are going to miss you!

I loved being walking distance from the school. It was great to get out of the house for a little walk and watch the kids race each other down the sidewalk, Dallin, being so proud to be the fastest, and Isaac trying so hard to beat him, but still being happy and satisfied at his own speed, and Landen straggling behind with his blonde curls going every which way. These are memories I want to keep. Here are some pictures of our every day routine, and Dallin's last day of first grade.

Isaac and Landen stopping at the tree to wait for me and Jared to cross the street with them.

Niagara Falls

We finally made it over to Niagara Falls. We met Nate's brother and family, Nate's mom and sister Jana, and Grandma Jorgensen. The falls were amazing. Just an awesome sight. It was a cloudy day and being by the water made it cold and windy. But the not so great weather made it a perfect day for tourism. We did not fight any crowds.

Jared was so good!

Yes, it's May. Yes we're bundled in winter attire.
